Full support for macOS Tahoe 26
25 September 2025
v2.1.2 has been released with full support for macOS Tahoe 26.
- Accelerator Keys now has full support for macOS Tahoe 26, as well as backward compat support for Sequioa, Sonoma and Ventura.
- Fixed the menu icon disappearing on shortcut press in Tahoe.
- Introcued 25+ new shortcuts, including ones to insert tables, images, macros and more.
- Fixed bugs with 10+ shortcuts that weren’t working as expected.
- Improved security and overall performance by moving keystroke commands to a dedicated thread.
If you are upgrading from v2.1.0 or earlier, you may need to regrant permission controls due to updating the certificate signing process to match Apple’s standard app distribution protocols.
If that’s you, please follow the steps below to get Accelerator Keys working properly:
- Quit Accelerator Keys.
- Go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Accessibility, click on Accelerator Keys and then hit the Minus (-) icon to remove it. Don’t simply toggle it off — it needs to be removed completely.
- Re-open Accelerator Keys. It may ask you to apply your password again (your Mac password) so AK can access what it needs to enable shortcuts (up to 4 times — you can click Always Allow to reduce the number of times needed to add it).
- If the Setup Guide isn’t open already, go to the AK menu item in the top toolbar and click on Setup Guide.
- Click on the Grant button, and then make sure to toggle AK back on.
- Quit AK and re-open once again.
That should clear out and fix any lingering permission issues. This update required a change in signing certificates, which is why the permissions had to be regranted. For some people, a few extra steps have been required.
I apologize for that inconvenience, and it should not happen again in the future as the signing certificates are now standardized and future-proofed with Apple’s recommended protocols.
Thanks again for choosing Accelerator Keys to get more done with Office on Mac. 🚀
